Lost in Love….Stunning Yellow Wedding Ideas
Design is at the heart of what we do at I Do Designer Weddings, so it was with excitement that we planned a photoshoot with the exceptional florists Horticouture and the brilliant Annemarie King Photography.
The aim of the shoot was to bring a more fun, quirky edge to Yorkshire Weddings. We wanted to show that the little details can make a huge difference when it comes to your wedding photos. If you look through the imagery you will see the same colourings, materials and staging, carefully used to create a fantastic visual.
My brief was to make it happy and fun, and something that stood out. My first task therefore was to come up with a theme. When I started designing this wedding shoot I was thinking festival style…. haybales, guitars, Hunters with flowers coming out of them, chalkboards, a farmhouse table dressed in a quirky way to give a chilled out luxurious feel, a table plan using song titles for table names. I wanted it to be bright and fun so decided on yellow with touches of stone polka dots and silver. Christine felt that Daisies would work well as the main flower and so created a stunning bouquet that felt like our bride had just wandered through a meadow and grabbed a handful of flowers.

Most brides want to wear a stunning dress so we approached Andrea Bambridge and she offered to create something just for the shoot. Our model looks stunning and relaxed; just how a bride should look on her wedding day.
We wanted to give it an edge so went a little bit rock n roll!
Because we wanted to get across the idea that weddings don’t have to be traditional, we used more relaxed outfits for our Groom, Bridesmaids and Page Boy. It looks fabulous and fun and can still work with a ‘wow’ Wedding Dress.
Theme sorted it was time to find the perfect venue. York Maze really stood out to me as somewhere that would work well and so we gave our shoot the title of ‘Lost in Love’.

You can’t have a wedding without cake so the lovely Sarah at Cake! offered to help out. I requested Cake Pops to give it a relaxed feel and she created not only the most stunning Daisy themed Cake Pops, but also a full 3 tier cake.
Much like a wedding, for a professional shoot you need to make sure that the models look perfect so we used the very talented Becky Stirk Make-Up and The Vinery Hair Salon.
